Caught On Camera!

The stainless steel electronic eye that orbits the Control Room, as No.1 maintains a quiet surveillance eye on his subordinates. And it was when I looked at it yesterday, that I saw a likeness to the head of Gort!
Gort being the robot in the 1951 film 'The day The Earth Stood Still.
And I couldn't help but see the similarity between the steel eye, and the heed of Gort when his visor opens.

  1. Striking, David! Don't know exactly how I came upon this one now. I think you know where it's from:

Michael Rennie was ill the day the earth stood still / But he told us where we stand / And Flash Gordon was there in silver underwear / Claude Raines was the invisible man / Then something went wrong for Fay Wray and King Kong / They got caught in a celluloid jam / Then at a deadly pace it came from outer space / And this is how the message ran:
Science Fiction - Double Feature / Dr. X will build a creature / See androids fighting Brad and Janet / Anne Francis stars in Forbidden Planet /

Oh-oh at the late night, double feature, picture show ...

Well, most likely it's the prospect of a double or a fourfold feature, the theatrical Prisoner screening. A pity I won't be able to take part. - BCNU!

    1. Hello Arno,

You've been very active on the blog comment front this morning, and this the latest is very good, I like it.

I used to watch the Friday night/early Saturday horror/science fiction features, Dracula, Frankenstein, Son of Frankenstein, The werewolf, The Mummy, The Man With X-Ray Eyes, The Invisible Man, The Village of The Damned, The Day The Earth Stood still, The Thing From Another World, Taste The Blood of Dracula, The Scars of Dracula, oh there were so many, and none of them frightened me!

A double feature of 'the Prisoner' it stirs the blood, and excites the mind.

      Very kind regards
      David
