A Favourite Scene In The Prisoner

The gypsy camp scene in 'Many Happy Returns.'
It is a touching scene between No.6 and the young gypsy woman as she offers him a cup of hot tea or broth, as it is the first genuine act of kindness the Prisoner has received since his abduction to the Village. She smiles on him in a kindly way, upon this raggedy man, and speaks to him in Romany when he asks where is there a road, sending him on his way.

Be seeing you

    1. Hello Anna,
I'm not so sure that was Pat McGoohan's caravan. I think I'm right in saying that it was his gypsy caravan was used in the film 'The Three Lives of Thomasina, which was produced in 1963. In fact that's where he got it from, he bought it! After that the caravan then stood in McGoohan's garden for the next three or four years, so who knows what condition it might have been in. I cannot find a picture of Pat McGoohan's caravan to compare it with the one in 'Many Happy Returns,' it would handy if I could.
      Very best wishes
      David

    1. Hello Arno,
'The Hallelijah Trail,' a good film, and the Gypsy caravan does look a bit like a covered wagon!

      Very best regards
